Changes to 485
Subclass 485 visa holders who couldn't travel due to covid border restrictions can apply for the replacement visa from next year for the same period of their original visa.
The current and former Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa holders whose visas expired on or after 1 February 2020 are eligible for the replacement visa.
The changes to the grant period will be increased from 2 to 3 years for applicants who have completed the Master by Course work.
The graduate stream grant period will be increased from 1.5 to 2 years from Dec 1st
From Jul 2022, for the graduate stream, there is no requirement to be nominated for the occupation from the long term skilled occupation list.
